Shelby County, TN
A2H provided surveying and civil engineering services for the widening of 1.99 miles of East Shelby Dr. from Hacks Cross Rd. to Forest Hill-Irene Road and 0.55 miles of improvements to Forest Hill-Irene Road, including improvements to the intersection.
This project evolved from the decision of Shelby County Government to change the cross-section of Shelby Drive and Forest Hill-Irene for an urban cross-section to a "rural" cross-section that included medians and open shoulders. A2H, who provided the original design of this project, was able to combine their plans with those of another consultant to redesign the project in 45 days from the notice to proceed for the redesign.
- Erosion and sediment control plans and inspection, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and the preparation of acquisition plats and descriptions.
- Survey existing internal road system within the soccer complex (located near the intersection of Shelby Drive and Forest Hill-Irene) and underground utilities to include sewer and water lines, sewer force mains and soccer field sprinkler systems to be able to determine a new route for the sewer system serving the soccer complex.
- Plan details to adequately convey the work required to install a berm, landscaping and relocation of the security fence along the Shelby Drive frontage of the soccer-plex complex associated with this project.
- Engineering design services for the design and relocation of sewer line (including 2.5" force main) and sewer manholes from the soccer complex and the restroom facilities.
- Construction engineering inspection services as requested.
