A2H Connects with Emerging Designers at the University of Memphis

A2H team members spent the day connecting with emerging architects and designers at the University of Memphis during the 2026 Spring Architecture & Design Career Fair.

Hosted by the university's American Institute of Architecture Students chapter, the event created an opportunity for students to learn about firms, ask practical questions about the profession, and share the work and interests they are developing in school.

Career fairs offer more than a chance to discuss open positions. They give students a clearer view of the many paths available within architecture and design while giving professionals an opportunity to listen to the priorities of the next generation. Conversations about studio work, collaboration, technology, community impact, and the transition from school to practice can help students better understand where their skills may lead.

A2H was encouraged by the student talent and thoughtful conversations throughout the event. We also appreciate Brad, Phillip, Heather, and Derrick for representing the firm and sharing their time and experience with attendees.

Supporting students and building relationships with universities are important parts of A2H's commitment to the future of the profession. We are grateful to the University of Memphis and AIAS for bringing students and firms together and for creating space for meaningful conversations about architecture and design careers.
