Community members in Milan recently shared ideas and priorities at a joint public engagement event for two important City planning efforts: the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Action Plan and the Parks and Recreation Systemwide Plan update.
Led by A2H Landscape Architect Joni Bailey, ASLA, PLA and Transportation Engineer Sam Jordan, PE, the event invited residents to discuss transportation safety, park amenities, recreation opportunities, and the improvements they believe will make the greatest difference for Milan’s future.
For the SS4A Action Plan, local perspectives help identify safety concerns and opportunities that may not be reflected in crash data alone. That feedback will help the project team develop strategies aimed at making streets safer for everyone.
Input on the Parks and Recreation Systemwide Plan update will help identify opportunities for new amenities, improvements to existing parks, and recreational programs that align with the community’s needs and priorities. Together, these planning efforts will guide thoughtful future investment and support an enhanced quality of life for Milan residents.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped move these plans forward.
