Baptist Memorial Breaks Ground on Fayette County’s Only Hospital
Baptist Memorial Breaks Ground on Fayette County’s Only Hospital

Baptist Memorial Health Care and community leaders broke ground on Baptist Memorial Hospital-Fayette County on April 30, 2026, marking the start of construction on the county's only hospital.

The new $27 million community hospital will be located near the northwest corner of Highway 64 and Warren Road. Fayette County includes more than 41,000 residents across 11 cities, and the facility is planned to bring essential health services closer to the people who live and work throughout the area.

Plans include eight emergency department beds and eight inpatient beds, along with advanced telehealth capabilities, inpatient and outpatient imaging, and point-of-care laboratory services. By bringing these services into the county, the project will give residents a closer option for emergency care, diagnostic services, and short-term hospital stays.

A2H is leading the architecture and engineering design for the hospital. The project closely aligns with our mission of Creating an Enhanced Quality of Life for Our Clients and Community because access to care is an important part of a community's long-term health and resilience.

The hospital also represents a meaningful investment in Fayette County's future. As the area continues to grow, local access to emergency and inpatient services can reduce the distance families must travel for care while creating a foundation for expanded health resources over time.

A2H is grateful to support Baptist Memorial Health Care in bringing the project to life and to work alongside Flintco, Covider Health, local leaders, and the full project team. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Fayette County is expected to open in spring 2027.

We look forward to sharing progress as construction advances and the hospital takes shape for the families it will serve.
