New Hire: Chooch Pickard

A2H is excited to welcome Charles “Chooch” Pickard to the firm’s Memphis area headquarters. Chooch brings over 25 years of experience to the firm, where he will continue to leverage his broad expertise as a preservation architect and urban designer.

Most recently, Chooch was a principal at Arch, Inc., where he focused on historic renovation and urban development projects. Previously, he served as Executive Architect for City South Ventures in their efforts to revitalize the French Fort neighborhood, and as the Executive Director of the Memphis Regional Design Center. He is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign, where he received his Masters of Architecture with a focus in Preservation. 

Chooch has a long history of supporting community organizations and is currently serving in various leadership positions for the Midsouth LGBT Chamber, the Coliseum Coalition, and the Memphis Stormwater Board. He has also served AIA Memphis in a multitude of roles, including as President in 2010.
