A2H was engaged by Agricenter International to lead infrastructure and site development planning for the future development of its Agtech Innovation District. As part of a larger 1,000-acre research farm, the Innovation District’s goal is to help organizations foster agricultural innovation and accelerate product development.

The Agtech Innovation District is centrally located in the City of Memphis positioned within the City’s largest park, Shelby Farms.

This effort is a continuation of the Strategic Business Plan and Conceptual Master Plan completed in 2019 and focused completion of the Phase 1-A Implementation Plan. A key objective in planning for future development within the district is to embrace the existing Agricenter tenant companies and organizations, and provide sites to which other similar groups can be recruited.

The goal of this plan was to identify priorities and cost for developing the Innovation District and to provide a better understanding of funding obligations for the district to be developed. Key areas of study include: overall site analysis, existing/future utilities, land-use/zoning, development phasing, and build-out concepts for each parcel.
